Ik ben Thom Bakker, ben geboren in 1999. Ik ben leerkracht van beroep en sociotherapeut in opleiding.

Toen ik vijftien was kocht ik mijn eerste spiegelreflex camera. Sindsdien heb ik veel geleerd van mijn vader, internet en medefotografen die bruikbare adviezen gaven.

Ik begon mijn hobby met een Sony Alpha 550 en ben inmiddels overgestapt naar de FullFrame Sony A7ii.

Er is geen specifieke tak van fotografie waar ik mijn voornamelijk op richt, ik fotografeer nog steeds alles wat ik mooi vind. Dat kunnen uitzichten zijn, nachten en avonden, architecturale schoonheden, mooie mensen of zelfgecreëerde stillevens.

Tijdens het retoucheren probeer ik mijn foto's over het algemeen zo dicht mogelijk naar de realiteit te trekken. Wellicht verdiep ik me de toekomst nog eens op professioneel uitziende presets, maar voor nu houd ik mijn bewerkingen eenvoudig.

Om één plek te creëeren waar al mijn beste foto's een plekje krijgen, wilde ik een dynamisch portfolio maken, die ik altijd aan kan vullen en altijd bij me heb.

My name is Thom Bakker, I was born in 1999. I am a teacher by profession and a sociotherapist in training

When I was fifteen I bought my first SLR camera. Since then I have learned a lot from my father, the internet and fellow photographers who gave useful advice.

I started my hobby with a Sony Alpha 550 and have since switched to the FullFrame Sony A7ii.

There is no specific branch of photography that I mainly focus on, I still take pictures of everything I find beautiful. That can be views, nights and evenings, architectural beauties, beautiful people or self-created stills.

When retouching, I generally try to draw my photos as close to reality as possible. I may dig deeper into professional looking presets in the future, but for now I'll keep my edits simple.

In order to create one place where all my best photos can be found, I wanted to create a dynamic portfolio that I can always add to and always have with me.
